Rob Cain is a 2nd generation master French Polisher, carrying forward a family tradition that spans decades. Growing up surrounded by the craft, Rob learned the art from his father, absorbing not just techniques but the philosophy that every piece of furniture has a story worth preserving.

For over thirty years, Rob has dedicated himself to the meticulous art of French polishing and furniture restoration. Rob has appeared on 3 seasons of "The Restorers" sharing his expert knowledge on furniture restoration. He has also featured on Channel 4 and the BBC, as well as BBC radio and various magazines. Working from "The Old Polishing Shop" in Grassington, Yorkshire, he has brought countless pieces back to life—from treasured family heirlooms to grand staircases in stately homes.
